Prevention Tips

• Clean up food and drink spills immediately, including crumbs on benchtops and floors
• Store all food - especially sugar, honey, and pet food - in sealed airtight containers
• Fix dripping taps and leaking pipes, as ants need water and are attracted to moisture
• Trim tree branches, shrubs, and garden plants away from the building exterior
• Seal visible gaps around windows, doors, pipes, and electrical conduits with silicone
• Remove leaf litter, bark mulch, and garden debris from directly against external walls
• Avoid leaving dirty dishes or uncovered food out overnight
• Keep garbage bins tightly sealed and away from the house where possible
